Mitsubishi's SD510U & XD500U Introduced For Enhanced Colour Performance
Mitsubishi Electric’s Visual Information Systems, a leading manufacturer of high quality display solutions has introduced the SD510U, an SVGA cost effective projector for business use and the XD500U, an XGA projector that is available in either the standard grey colour or orange projector specifically designed for education.
Both models utilise BrilliantColour Technology™ the latest innovation to produce richer colours and deeper tones, Mitsubishi’s 6-segment colour wheel has been developed to boost a wider colour spectrum by adding yellow and cyan segments to the usual red, green, blue and white segments. The addition of the yellow and cyan segments of the colour wheel reduces the white segment portion of the range, ultimately improving the colour vibrancy of the spectrum.
The SD510U is equipped with 2600 ANSI lumens of brightness and 2000:1 contrast ratio rating, ensuring images are reproduced realistically and accurately even in ambient light. The XD500U version produces 2200 ANSI lumens (1500 ANSI in low mode), has a contrast ratio of 2000:1 as well as a super low fan noise of 26dBA for undisrupted viewing within classrooms.
The SD510U and XD500U have been designed as portable, cost effective projectors, featuring a long lamp life of 4000 hours (SD510U) and 3000 hours (XD500U) in low mode. Both projectors also benefit from enhanced security features such as a password lock and reinforced anchor bars as well as a top-access lamp cover for easy lamp replacement, even when ceiling mounted. The instant shutdown feature allows users to quickly power down the unit after a presentation without causing damage to the projector or lamp.
Fraser McDonald, UK Sales Manager said “Mitsubishi has strived to maintain a high quality, reliable and yet affordable display solution to suit the needs of those in both the corporate and educational establishments looking for an economically priced and long lasting performance projector. This is why the SD510U and XD500U have been introduced to benefit users not only from the richer tones and superior colours that are displayed within their presentations, but also the reliability and user friendly functions these projectors deliver.”
As standard both models come with a 3 year loan replacement warranty. For education the XD500U comes with an additional 3 year lamp warranty as well as a deinstall/reinstall package.
Pricing:
Both models are great value for money with the SD510U retailing at £398 exc VAT and the XD500U grey or orange at £513 exc VAT.
